ik zie mij da nie elke week doen met mijn bestelwagen ... swel ferm hoe die da doe...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The £5000 car wash - it takes 2 weeks and uses the most expensive wax in the world for most of us it involves a bucket of soapy water, a sponge and chamois leather.
But for the super-rich, washing the car involves a lot more effort and a lot more expense.
That's where Paul Dalton comes in. Reputed to be the world's most expensive car washer, he charges £4,800 for his 61-stage "Pinnacle Wash".
Clients who pay for his two-week wash-and-wax include Premiership footballers and rock stars such as Rod Steward, who ordered teh treatment for his £700,000 Ferrari Enzo.
But Mt Dalton claims his work is worth every penny because he uses only the best tools, including wax that costs £7,000 a tube, purified water, towels imported from Australia and £70 buckets.
The 30-year old from Surrey begins at dawn by rinsing the the vehicle in purified water heated to exactly 30c. He then sprays the entire care with a citrus degreaser to remove traffic film.
This is followed by four washes with four different sponges and four specially adapted buckets to filter out any grease or grit.
When he is staisfied that every inch is gleaming, he dries the car with micro-fibre towels before "decontaminating" the paintwork with a clay bar to remove tar, grime and tree sap.
Next he uses an electronic gauge to measure paint thickness to the nearest micron, so he knows how far he needs to go to smooth out scratches witha rotary polisher.
To top it off, he applies several generous coats of Zymol Royale wax, made from 73 per cent carnauba wax from the Brazilian rainforest. The result after 64 hours is a car sparkling like a mirror and Mr Dalton boasts the effect can last a year.
Despite the astonishing cost, business is booming and his one-man company, Miracle Detail, has a nine-month waiting list.
He said: "My clients are among the most wealthy in the country. I also have clients in Europe and I get calls to go to Singapore.
There's a guy in Prague who drives his motor over just so I can work on it"
There's bad news for his customers though. Mr Dalton, who drives to his clients' homes in his Mercedes van, is about to get a new type of wax which will take more than a day to apply each coat, pushing the price of his wash-and-wax to £7000 a go.
